Are you a Great Leader?
If you work on yourself first, you can be a great leader. It’s a choice as to what you will commit to fine-tuning before setting expectations of others.
If you are judging yourself, you will side very easily into judgment of others. From that place, you cannot be a great leader.
If you are fearful of your own leader, you will struggle to instill psychological safety in your team.
If you feel others challenging your work as a personal attack or questioning your confidence, you will be ineffective in challenging your team consistently and fairly, which is how they grow, learn and succeed.
If you burn the candle at both ends (you fill in the blanks for what this looks like), you will not be able to authentically promote mental health in your team.
To be a great leader, heck to be a good leader, to inspire and build loyalty and ultimately team success, you’ve got to do the self-work.
We all do. Start with you.
