Refining Goals
September is an exciting time for renewal in my house and business. It feels like it’s time to refresh, take charge and move forward after refuelling over the summer. I get more excited about school supplies than my kids, and I have been known to hum along to the Staples commercial, “It’s the most, wonderful time of the year…” as I delight in the idea of a quiet morning in my home office with no interruptions.
In years past, my goal was to help people. I have refined that to goal considerably.
After 2 plus years of coaching everyone from new grads to Executives, I know I can’t help everyone. I want to work with people who I can make the most difference to; those who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help themselves. They pick up the pen, take their own notes, make their own appointments and come prepared. They invest in the process of working with a high caliber coach and don’t expect me to let them off the hook.
They are completely devoted to their own success!
So, in 2017/2018, I am excited to be working with driven people who have great expectations of themselves. Together we will tackle the hard stuff; replacing the behaviours that are keeping them stuck with the new habits and thought patterns that will start moving them forward.
